Set up the room
Comfort4Stimulation50+Higher Stimulation now lowers the chance the kitten inherits a parent birth defect, so push it to protect a build that has no item slots to patch a bad roll. Keep the line away from inbreeding, which both shrinks the Stimulation benefit and raises defect inheritance. Effect-bearing head mutations like Exposed Brain only roll past 10 Mutation, so treat them as a longer breeding project rather than an early target.

1.1 turns this collar from a gadget-RNG gamble into one of the strongest picks in the cast. Throw Weapon no longer costs an action, which roughly doubles the turn economy whenever a craft lands. Bombchu, Build Nuke, Electrolyze, Firecrackers, and Rocket Ride each shed two mana, so the gadget rotation fires far more often on a fixed pool. The EMP family (EMP, Mr. Mega, Napalm, Demo Man) now applies Blast Resistance, a defensive status that gives Tinkerer real self-mitigation it never had. Mr. Mega gained blast radius and damage, Napalm gained Burn, Conductor inflicts electric on metal-wearing targets, Math! stuns on prime-number rolls, and Lightning Rod now grants Tech with an Energized upgrade. A 7 INT Tinkerer sits at 11 effective INT, the highest sustained mana regen in the roster, and the persistent placements compound across longer fights. The -1 CHA and -1 LCK trim the mana pool and crit rate but do not touch a build whose damage comes from drops that keep firing. Still weak on mobile encounters where enemies outrun the gadget line.
