1. Information we collect

BrokenBuilds does not require user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, or passwords. The information we collect is limited to:

• Local storage data: theme preference, favorited games, recently viewed builds, and saved builds. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
• Vote fingerprints: when you vote on a build, we store a one-way hashed fingerprint (derived from your browser and IP) to prevent duplicate votes. The original values cannot be recovered from the hash.
• Analytics data: we may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand page views and general usage patterns. No personally identifiable information is collected.

2. Cookies

We use minimal cookies. A vote fingerprint cookie is set when you vote on a build to remember your vote preference. If third-party advertising is enabled, ad networks may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.

3. Third-party services

We may use Google AdSense to display advertisements on content pages (never on tool interfaces). Google may collect and use data according to its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to any third party.

4. Data storage

Build data submitted through our public build creation feature is stored in our database and associated with a randomly generated short code. No personal information is attached to submitted builds unless you voluntarily provide an author name.

5. Your rights

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is generally no personal data to request, modify, or delete. You can clear your local storage data at any time through your browser settings.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
