Set up the room
Comfort3Stimulation32+Tank is the most forgiving collar on breeding investment because its job is to eat hits, not to chase effect mutations. Even so, raise Stimulation when the slot is free: in 1.1 higher Stimulation lowers the chance the kitten inherits a parent birth defect. If your comfort-4 rooms are busy with DPS projects, the Tank can breed in a spillover comfort-3 slot, but keep the line away from inbreeding, since inbred kittens get less out of Stimulation and inherit defects at a higher rate.

Tank holds S in 1.1 on the +4 CON modifier, now with a slightly cheaper crowd control kit. Ass Blast lost a mana point and gained +2 Knockback; Clap lost a mana point. A bred Tank with 7 base CON hits 11 effective CON for 44 HP, double a stray Tank from the alley at 5-6 effective CON for 20-24 HP. That is the largest bred-vs-stray gap in the game. The role is always relevant and the core math is unchanged; the QoL bumps just smooth the rotation.
