Hades II Sister Blades Build Guide -- Lim and Oros, All Aspects (Post-Launch Patch 2)
This guide covers the item:sister-blades, the twin daggers Lim and Oros, on Post-Launch Patch 2. Sister Blades sit in A-Tier on the speedrun-community weapon list, defined by fast hands and tight spacing, and the four aspects each push the chassis in a different direction.
TL;DR
The strongest Lim and Oros builds in the current meta are Aspect of Pan for the auto-aim special spam loop, [[aspect-of-artemis]] for parry-and-riposte boss windows, and [[aspect-of-the-morrigan]] for hidden-aspect backstab burst. The speedrun crowd has been pushing Morrigan into the 50 Fear surface bracket. Across every aspect, fast chip damage scales with flat per-hit boons (Zeus Blitz, Hestia Scorch, Poseidon Splash) and Hera's King's Ransom multiplies those procs into the headline damage of the run. Pair Lim and Oros with a magick-sustain anchor only on the omega-channel aspects; the base passive carries Morrigan with no Gain boon at all.
Why Sister Blades
Lim and Oros are the closest spiritual successor to Hades 1's Twin Fists. The base attack chains a fast slash string at melee range; the special throws a flurry of blades for ranged pressure. The two blades are personalities in their own right, which is why community searches surface "lim and oros build" alongside the in-menu "Sister Blades" label.
The combat profile is fast hands, tight spacing, dual-blade reach. Auto-aim mechanics on the Aspect of Pan special remove the targeting tax that punishes other ranged options, and the omega-attack channel on Aspect of Artemis opens a parry-and-riposte window that punishes telegraphed boss swings. The weapon rewards aggressive close-range pressure and combo finishers, with the specials covering the gap when bosses telegraph wide.
All 4 Aspects
Aspect of Melinoe (Default)
Modifier: Backstab damage bonus on the base weapon. Best for: Learning the combat rhythm before unlocking the named aspects.
[[aspect-of-melinoe-sister-blades]] is the unlock state of Lim and Oros and the chassis every other aspect modifies. The backstab bonus rewards positional play around bosses; circle behind, slash, dash out. It is not a competitive high-Fear aspect, but it teaches the spacing and i-frame timing that Pan and Artemis demand at higher difficulty.
Aspect of Pan (Standard)
Modifier: Auto-aims and adds extra blades to the special; works with Dancing Knives Daedalus per Patch 2. Best for: The friendliest pickup in the kit.
[[aspect-of-pan]] turns the special into a homing pressure tool. The auto-aim removes targeting friction at range, and the additional blades per throw stack flat-damage procs faster than any other aspect on this weapon. Spam the special between attack strings, dance around the back arc for the implicit positioning bonus, and let Hera's King's Ransom multiply your Zeus Blitz procs across every blade.
The omega-special with the Dancing Knives hammer leaves a rotating field of blades around Melinoe that ticks damage on every nearby enemy. Patch 2's interaction with Dancing Knives is the reason Pan jumped a half-tier on the post-launch list: the field plus the per-hit Blitz procs creates a sustain DPS profile that Sister Blades never had pre-launch.
Aspect of Artemis (Standard)
Modifier: Channels into a parry-and-riposte window that punishes telegraphed boss swings. Best for: Boss-shred parry plays.
[[aspect-of-artemis]] is the reactive option. Channel the omega-attack to enter the parry stance; eat the next telegraphed hit; the riposte snaps into a damage burst that scales with attack-modifier boons. The reward is positional: parry windows reset boss aggro, and a clean read on Chronos phase 2 or Eris turns a 30-second exchange into a 5-second swing.
Pair the parry burst with Hera Sworn Strike or Aphrodite Heart Strike for the percentage bumps, and run a Glassrock-cost Daedalus on the channel to extend the window. The aspect punishes pre-emptive dashing the same way Medea does; if you dash before the read, the parry whiffs and the channel locks you into the windup. The high ceiling lives behind that learning curve.
Aspect of the Morrigan (Hidden Aspect)
Modifier: Backstab modifier on the special; hidden aspect, late unlock. Best for: Burst on positional bosses.
[[aspect-of-the-morrigan]] is the hidden aspect speedrunners have been pushing into 50 Fear. The backstab modifier on the special, combined with Sister Blades' base mobility, lets you reposition mid-combo for free crit windows on every special throw. On bosses with predictable forward telegraphs (Chronos, Polyphemus, the Sea Witch), Morrigan opens damage windows the other three aspects cannot match.
The base passive is strong enough that Morrigan functions with no Gain boon at all. That puts it in the same magick-economy bracket as Anubis and Melinoe staff, which is why it climbs in vow-resistant runs that strip away Apollo's Lucid Gain. Take it into Vow of Hordes plus Vow of Wards combinations where the burst-aspect chassis collapses; Morrigan keeps producing damage on the back arc while the burst aspects whiff their windows.
Daedalus Hammer Picks
Pan plus Dancing Knives is the headline interaction on this weapon in Patch 2; the rotating special-blade field stacks with auto-aim to keep procs landing while Melinoe focuses on positioning. Outside of that, hammers that extend the omega-channel reward Artemis's parry stance, and any per-hit-damage hammer (rather than per-omega) compounds with the fast attack string. Slow-hit weapon hammers are wasted on Lim and Oros; pick the option that adds hits, not the one that grows individual hits.
Boon Synergies and Keepsake Pairings
Fast chip damage scales with flat-damage boons. Zeus Blitz adds 200 per proc on every blade; Hestia Scorch ticks 50 per second per stack; Poseidon Splash adds flat damage to every cleave. Stacking the same boons on a slow-hitter does almost nothing because the omega-cast triggers them once per fight. On Sister Blades, the procs land on every hit of the attack string and every blade of the special.
Hera's King's Ransom is the universal pairing. King's Ransom buffs Blitz, Double Strike, and Arc Flash multiplicatively, and Blitz scales with three independent axes (damage, proc count, and proc frequency). Hera plus Zeus plus a Gain boon produces 600+ damage per Blitz proc going off every 0.8 seconds on a fully-stacked Pan run. There is no other boon combination in the game with three independent multiplicative axes.
For keepsakes, [[cloud-bangle]] at the start funds the dash-heavy positioning, [[engraved-pin]] locks the boon you need rolled, and [[adamant-shard]] covers magick sustain on the omega-channel aspects.
Best Build Reference
The Sister Blades meta build does not have a dedicated entry in the current named-meta build set. The eight crystallized post-1.0 builds on the Hades II Build Hub prioritize the higher-Fear chassis (Medea, Charon, Circe, Moros, Anubis, Nyx, Nergal, Melinoe staff). Lim and Oros sit in A-Tier on the Weapon Tier List, slightly below Argent Skull because the burst is distributed across hits rather than front-loaded into a single window.
That distribution is the defining trait of the weapon. On the speedrun bracket it loses to Medea by a few seconds per boss, but on consistency runs it punishes positional bosses harder than any other A-Tier option.
