Current version 1.15.00, released July 24, 2026. What each patch changed, and which ones actually moved builds.

By BrokenBuilds WikiUpdated

TL;DR

  • Current version: 1.15.00, released July 24, 2026, on all platforms.
  • 1.15.00 is bug fixes only. The single change that touches gearing: the Mace of Ambition was moved to a normally reachable room in the Spire of Clockwork, so it no longer requires clipping out of bounds.
  • 1.14.00 (July 16) added cross-save across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
  • The last patch that changed how builds play was 1.13.00 (July 3), which opened the Abyss to item:oongka and item:damiane and repaired two skill interactions build advice already relied on.
  • No weapon, skill, or gear value has been rebalanced since 1.12.00 in mid-June. Build orders written for the June meta still hold.

Patch 1.15.00 (July 24, 2026): Current Version

Pearl Abyss shipped 1.15.00 as a cleanup pass. No new content, no balance numbers, nothing that shifts a weapon type up or down. One entry in the notes does change what you can get your hands on.

Mace of Ambition relocated. This unique one-handed mace used to sit in a room near the top of the Spire of Clockwork in Demeniss that no legitimate route reached. Anyone who wanted it had to clip through geometry out of bounds. Pearl Abyss moved it several floors down, into the room with the spinning door, where normal traversal gets you there. Attack and refinement values on the item:mace-of-ambition were left alone, so nothing about the weapon's power changed. It simply stopped being an exploit pickup and became loot on a standard Spire run.

The rest of 1.15.00 repairs things that were costing players time:

  • Equipped-gear lock status now persists for Oongka and Damiane. Locks were dropping between sessions, which is how expensive pieces get sold or dismantled by accident.
  • Aerial Roll distance now normalizes after Aerial Maneuver. The roll was keeping an inflated distance after item:aerial-maneuver-kliff, throwing off spacing on follow-up attacks.
  • Axiom Force crosshair no longer appears outside activation range. The crosshair was showing on targets item:axiom-force-kliff could not reach, which read as a green light for a cast that would never land.
  • Wyvern can be summoned while airborne, closing a gap that forced a landing before every remount.
  • Kliff no longer clips into the ground on slope finishers.
  • Transparent bosses in combat, the cross-save data-load crash carried over from 1.14.00, crops stuck mid-growth, fish vanishing from traps, the swimming camera-zoom bug, HDR interface glitches, mount riding posture, the stolen-wagon Escape bug, and the quest bear in "Scattered Honey Jars" blocking attacks while ridden.

Nothing here asks you to rebuild a character. Our best builds ranking carries over from June unchanged.

Patch 1.14.00 (July 16, 2026): Cross-Save

The headline is account-level rather than combat. A single save file now carries across PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Progress stops forking per storefront, which matters most for players who bought on console at launch and later picked the game up on PC. Your character roster and everything attached to it travels with you instead of restarting.

Two combat entries are worth reading:

  • Damiane's Skystep now uses the same control input as Oongka's Vertical Flight. Putting item:skystep-damiane on the same button as item:vertical-flight-oongka is input parity, not a stat or damage change. It does remove a real friction point: swapping characters mid-session no longer means relearning which button sends you up.
  • Aerial Force Palm is no longer interrupted during free-fall. item:aerial-force-palm-kliff was dropping out of the chain the moment the fall started, which cut airborne pressure short. Aerial Kliff play gets its full sequence back.

Everything else is repair work: the "A Dwarf's Concern" completion blocker, control loss when a pet jumps on your bed, smoother mount motion at high speed, the SFX cutoff after the Praevus the Ancient fight, lingering audio on Ator's Orb, NPCs pathing through open wooden gates, and localization corrections. No weapon, skill, or gear values changed.

Patches 1.13.00 and 1.13.01 (July 3 and July 8, 2026)

This is the update that still governs how you pick a character.

Oongka and Damiane can now enter the Abyss. Before July 3, the Abyss was item:kliff's ground alone and the other two were locked out no matter how they were built. Memory Fragment locations for some rematchable bosses shifted to account for the new access. Note the boundary: Abyss Gear socketing was never Kliff-exclusive, and all three characters could already use it. What 1.13.00 opened is physical access to the Abyss itself. Kliff still runs the full main story alone, but "Kliff or you don't see the Abyss" stopped being true. The Abyss Core rankings apply to all three characters now.

Two bug fixes landed on interactions that build guides were already recommending:

  • Damiane's Smiting Strike now applies its elemental imbue on the correct timing with Groundsurge Abyss Gear equipped. Every Damiane elemental rotation runs through the item:smiting-strike-damiane and item:groundsurge pairing, and from 1.13.00 on it behaves the way the tooltip describes.
  • Oongka's finishing blows connect with a Greathammer equipped. They were missing outright, which quietly taxed every Greathammer secondary-slot rotation.

Alongside those: item:smiting-strike-proficiency-damiane works with a spear, Oongka's charge attacks are no longer blocked by nearby enemies, muskets and pistols fire while sliding, and Axiom Force hits the target immediately under soft lock-on.

The content side brought 47 new armor pieces: 39 for Kliff and Oongka, including boss outfits from Tarandus the Ashen, Cassius Morten, Lucian Bastier, and Gregor Halberd of Carnage, plus 8 for Damiane. Oongka also gained most outfits that had been Kliff-only, and dyeing expanded to disguise outfits and most weapons.

1.13.01 followed five days later with seven stability fixes: a bear-riding crash, character rendering errors on consoles and AMD systems, Oongka failing to follow Kliff through certain main-quest cutscenes, missing challenge rewards, the Hoenmark Ruins refusing to be liberated, the ranch feed bin not draining, and frame drops.

June 2026: Patches 1.10.00 through 1.12.02

June carried the real combat changes of the post-launch run.

1.11.00 (June 12) is the one archers care about. Explosive Evasive Shot and Multishot now trigger their additional effects when special arrows are equipped. item:explosive-evasive-shot-kliff and item:multishot-kliff had been silently dropping the special-arrow payload, which punished exactly the rotation the bow kit is built around. Both deliver it from June 12 on, which is a straight damage gain for any bow rotation carrying special arrows. The same patch fixed Focus so that Spirit recovery scales with its level for Damiane and Oongka; every point sunk into it before June 12 was returning less than the tooltip implied. Golem attack patterns were adjusted, and Oongka's item:scatter-shot-oongka stopped firing free cannonballs from a wall cling.

1.12.00 (June 18) handed every character a chain attack while sliding, on every weapon type. That is new offensive uptime regardless of who you play or what you carry. Aerial Force Palm became usable in safe zones, item:natures-snare-kliff can be placed while flying, and the spear Quick Swap skill was improved. Damiane and Oongka gained the ability to equip Visiones, read memories, and mount Blackstar. The item:greymane-signet arrived as an all-character ring at 2 attack with Crit Rate Lv. 1.

1.10.00 (June 5) repaired two skills that were failing to scale: Kliff's Nature's Echo and Damiane's Reckoning were not reflecting attack power at all. Both now do, which is a straight damage gain for any rotation running item:natures-echo-kliff or Reckoning. Damiane's unarmed damage was adjusted in the same patch, and Oongka's Devastation improved. The Wyvern and Kuku Bird Chick became rideable, and the Pinball and Orb Roll minigames opened.

The three June hotfixes, 1.10.01, 1.12.01, and 1.12.02, handled stability: Abyss Nexus and Wyvern egg-hatch crashes, disappearing outdoor furniture, an AMD RX 5000 crash at 1080p, and ocean wrongly flagged as a No Fishing Zone.

Earlier Updates That Still Shape Builds

  • 1.09.00 (May 29) tightened the Spirit economy. Unarmed Evasive Kick started costing Spirit instead of firing free, and the item:blinding-flash-finisher-kliff can no longer be cast under-cost. Rotations that leaned on either as a free action had to re-budget.
  • 1.08.00 (May 22) gave Kliff the musket and shotgun, extended Infinite Arrows to cover bullets and cannonballs, and added the Tool Slot.
  • 1.07.00 (May 15) added five land-based boss rematches and unarmed subtrees for Damiane and Oongka.
  • 1.06.00 (May 11) introduced Refinement Extraction and reworked Contribution Signets into +11 attack rings, which reset the best-in-slot ring conversation.
  • 1.05.00 (May 2) shipped Rematch, covering 69 bosses through Memory Fragments, and Re-blockade across 13 factions and 23 forts.
  • 1.04.00 (April 23) added difficulty settings, Weapon Throw for Kliff, Ambush for Damiane and Oongka, and three charge stages on Force Palm Pulse.

What Pearl Abyss Has Confirmed Next

The June 2 developer update laid out a June through September 2026 plan. Cross-save has since shipped in 1.14.00. Still outstanding from that post: story work on Kliff's journey to tighten key-scene coherence, new combat-focused content, further Re-blockade changes, and continued gameplay improvements for Damiane and Oongka.

Mod support sits under consideration with no commitment attached. A DLC is confirmed and in development, described by Pearl Abyss as a meaningful addition to the journey. No date has been announced.
