Hades II Keepsake Tier List (Post-Launch Patch 2)

All 33 keepsakes ranked by per-rank ceiling and pull on the post-1.0 meta. Some readers search "trinket tier list" looking for this same page; both terms point to the same gifted item slot, and this list covers both.

TL;DR

Five keepsakes carry universal-S status: item:jeweled-pom for the lategame Boon level boost, item:engraved-pin for the Doom-clear safety net, item:adamant-shard for Hephaestus omega-damage, item:sun-worshiper-keepsake as the Apollo lock for omega-cast builds, and item:blackened-fleece for late-run omega scaling. Build-locker S picks include item:iridescent-fan (Hera god-lock), item:moon-beam (Selene Hex runs), and item:silver-wheel as the early magick-pool baseline.

How Keepsakes Work

Each keepsake has 4 ranks, raised by spending Bond between runs. Once equipped, it activates at its current rank for the whole run. You start with one keepsake and can swap at the start of every biome. The Cherished Heirloom Demeter and Hera Duo Boon unlocks rank 4 mid-run when active.

S Tier

Jeweled Pom

Giver: Hades and Persephone. Effect: Every Boon you pick up arrives at +1 to +4 levels. Why S: The meta-defining keepsake. The level boost applies to every god, so unlike Olympian-specific keepsakes there is no opportunity-cost cliff if the offered god mismatches your run. At rank 3 or 4, every standard Boon enters pre-leveled. Default lategame swap once your god lock has triggered.

Engraved Pin

Giver: Moros. Effect: You become Doomed on your first fall; clear it by gaining 30 to 90 Healing. Why S: A second life every run. Seven of the eight named meta builds rotate to Engraved Pin in their middle biomes. Easy to clear in any biome with shrines or fountains, so it reads as a free revive most of the time.

Adamant Shard

Giver: Hephaestus. Effect: Hephaestus boons appear and rarify. Why S: Hephaestus is the omega-damage god. Volcanic Strike, Smithy's Boon, and the Zeus, Apollo, and Hera duo synergies all scale on per-hit percentage and lift burst aspects 30 to 50 percent at higher rarities. Starting keepsake on Anubis Staff and Nergal Axe; midbiome swap on most others.

Sun Worshiper

Giver: Apollo. Effect: Apollo boons appear and rarify. Why S: Apollo's Lucid Gain anchors every omega-cast and omega-special build. It returns 40 Magick per 30 spent, paying for the omega-cast on Charon, the omega-special channel on Moros, and Circe cast spam. Lock Apollo first on anything omega-flavored.

Blackened Fleece

Giver: Medea. Effect: After taking 250 damage, omega moves deal +20 to +60% damage. Why S: Late-biome spike for any omega build. The 250 threshold is trivial by Tartarus, and the bonus stacks multiplicatively with Hephaestus and Aphrodite scaling. Standard final-biome swap on Charon Axe.

A Tier

Iridescent Fan

Giver: Hera. Effect: Hera boons appear and rarify. Why A: Hera's King's Ransom is the only boon with three independent multiplicative axes (damage, proc count, proc frequency), which makes the Hera lock a near-mandatory starting keepsake for fast-hit builds. Charon Axe, Anubis Staff, Nyx Coat, and Melinoe Staff all rotate to it before biome 2.

Moon Beam

Giver: Selene. Effect: +3 to +7 Path of Stars upgrades. Why A: Mandatory for Hex runs. Pairs with The Moon Arcana for autonomous Hex charging and with Aspect of Selene on the Black Coat (Xinth) for Sky Fall integration. Outside Hex builds it does nothing.

Silver Wheel

Giver: Hecate. Effect: +50 to +150 Max Magick. Why A: The magick-pool baseline. Hecate gives this first; the larger pool scales every Cast, Omega Move, and Hex. Strong starting pick before Olympian keepsakes are unlocked, and underrated on Hex builds where the bigger pool gives The Moon more time to refill.

Calling Card

Giver: Zagreus. Effect: Rarify the next 2 to 8 Olympian Blessings. Rarity laundering for runs without a Hephaestus or Hera lock yet.

Concave Stone

Giver: Echo. Effect: 25% to 100% chance to gain a duplicate Boon after selecting one. At rank 4 the duplicate fires every pick, roughly doubling boon density. Best on grab-bag builds rather than specific-scaler stacks.

Frostbitten Horn

Giver: Demeter. Effect: Demeter boons appear and rarify. Freeze plus percentage modifiers carries slow-hit weapons. Lock on Charon Axe or Argent Skull when Hephaestus is not on offer.

Thunder Signet

Giver: Zeus. Effect: First Zeus boon offered is Rare or better; Zeus boons rarify. The first-roll Rare floor matters because Blitz scales hard with damage rolls; a Rare or better Blitz can solo a biome-1 boss.

Owl Pendant

Giver: Athena. Effect: Athena boons appear and rarify. Deflect plus damage reduction makes Athena the universal defense lock, especially on Vow of Hordes runs. The right swap for bringing a glass-cannon aspect into a 50-Fear push.

Silken Sash

Giver: Arachne. Effect: +30 Armor on equip, plus +2 to +6 Armor per location. Stacks to roughly 80 Armor by biome 4, the difference between surviving Chronos phase 2 hits and not. Standard for high-fear marathon runs.

Eyeliner

Giver: Aphrodite. Effect: Aphrodite boons appear and rarify. Aphrodite percentage modifiers shine on slow-hit weapons (Charon, Medea), where Flutter Flourish at +250% turns each per-hit number huge.

Crystalline Figure

Giver: Circe. Effect: Activate 2 random Arcana Cards after the next Guardian. Free Grasp budget worth roughly 6 to 10. Pure value on a tight 29-Grasp loadout that needs extra cards to push over the awakening line.

Vine Crown / Conch Shell / Cinder Bloom / Broken Spearpoint

Givers: Dionysus / Poseidon / Hestia / Ares. Standard god-lock keepsakes; pick whichever matches your damage scaler. Ares Doom carries slow-hit aspects when Aphrodite is unavailable; Hestia Scorch and Poseidon Splash stack flat damage on fast hitters; Dionysus Hangover laces chip damage between Hera procs.

B Tier

  • White Antler (Artemis): +20% to +50% Crit Damage, capped at 30 Max Life. Works for Thanatos crit-stack runs; collapses on Vow of Frenzy and Vow of Rivals.
  • Lion Fang (Heracles): +30% to +70% damage, decaying 5% per encounter. Biome-1 burst only.
  • Discordant Bell (Eris): +0.5% to +1.5% damage at the cost of taking the same. Tiny ceiling for the risk.
  • Evil Eye (Nemesis): +20% to +40% damage to foes who killed you previously. Strong after a wipe; otherwise dead weight.
  • Luckier Tooth (Schelemeus): One-shot revive at 51 to 151 Life. Engraved Pin does this better.
  • Metallic Droplet (Hermes): 20% faster movement, strikes, channeling for 200 to 400 seconds. Speedrun tool.
  • Ghost Onion (Dora): 50 to 150 Life on biome exit.
  • Aromatic Phial (Narcissus): +15% fountain healing, rarifies one boon.
  • Knuckle Bones (Odysseus): Shaves 5% to 25% opening HP off Guardians.
  • Experimental Hammer (Icarus): Random Daedalus upgrade for 10 to 30 encounters.
  • Transcendent Embryo (Primordial Chaos): Random Chaos blessing, no curse, refreshing every 8 encounters.

C Tier

  • Time Piece (Chronos): Purges rewards for Gold up to 5 times.
  • Gold Purse (Charon): +100 to +200 Gold Crowns at run start.

Both economy keepsakes lose to anything touching damage or survival. Pick only on early runs saving for a specific Charon shop unlock.

Best Opening Keepsake by Build

  • Medea Skull Speed-Crit: Cloud Bangle, then item:engraved-pin mid
  • Charon Axe Omega-Cast: Harmonic Photon (Apollo lock), then item:iridescent-fan and item:blackened-fleece late
  • Circe Staff Always-Be-Casting: Beautiful Mirror, then item:adamant-shard and item:engraved-pin
  • Moros Flames Ghost-Detonation: Beautiful Mirror or Vivid Sea, then item:adamant-shard and item:calling-card
  • Anubis Staff Zoning: item:adamant-shard, then item:iridescent-fan and item:engraved-pin
  • Nyx Coat Wave-Clear: Cloud Bangle, then item:iridescent-fan and item:adamant-shard
  • Nergal Axe Berserker: item:adamant-shard, then Harmonic Photon and item:engraved-pin
  • Melinoe Staff All-Rounder: Cloud Bangle, then item:iridescent-fan and item:engraved-pin

Cloud Bangle, Harmonic Photon, Beautiful Mirror, Gorgon Amulet, and Vivid Sea appear as plain text because their 1.0 canonical labels are still mapping into the keepsake list.
