Two-handed crit bruiser with life leech as defense. Champion's Axe with double Health Leech turns every critical hit into a heal, and Update 8 reworked the two-handed attack chains around the new Focus system, so a heavy attack now lands 2x damage and 2x stun. Open the chain, build Focus, then cash a heavy swing as your burst window on top of the crit-leech loop. Sunpiercer Helmet's +18% Melee Crit Chance and Chestplate's 201 phys / +360 HP carry survivability, with a Healer splash for Water Aura. Two-handed is no longer the only melee answer: the 80% mitigation cap made one-handed sword and shield competitive, so run 2H for the heavy-attack burst, not because nothing else works.
