Starter Sword and Spear Kliff

The recommended beginner progression build for new Kliff players. Pairs the Sword of the Wolf (12 ATK, 3 Abyss slots, your starting weapon) with the Warspike Spear (14 ATK, found near Hernand). Uses the sword for sustained pressure and swaps to the spear after staggering enemies for heavier punishing hits. The build the game naturally leads you toward, and it transitions cleanly into any of the specialized endgame archetypes.

Abyss Cores
Flat +1 ATK. First core most players will slot once Elowen unlocks the system in Chapter 5.
Attack Speed Lv.1. Faster combo chaining.
+4% damage vs humanoids. Covers the bulk of early bandit encounters.

Stamina Core. Basic combat skills and Quick Swap for sword/spear chaining.

Spirit Core light investment for Keen Senses parry, useful for Rhonda-style boss fights.

Sword of the Wolf (12 ATK, 3 Abyss slots) as primary. Warspike Spear (14 ATK) as secondary from near Hernand. Staglords shield for defense. Core skills: Armed Combat, Quick Swap (instant spear switch mid-fight), Grappling (Lariat chain and crowd control), Blinding Flash (opener that exposes weaknesses), Stab and Forward Slash (punish moves). Rotation: Two heavy attacks, Force Palm for opening, two more heavy attacks. On boss stagger use Quick Swap to spear for heavier damage. Lariat or Meteor Kick for AoE on mobs. Transitions into any endgame archetype.
